I keep a list on the notes app but also putting in a plug for the Storygraph app. It's a black-woman-owned alternative to goodreads.

Oddly, no one asks how people who binge watch TV shows how they possible do it.

Exactly!! People think nothing of watching several hours of tv in a day but when someone chooses to read instead no one can understand it.

I read so much as a young person but just can’t do it now. I can watch tv go a couple hours while I am trying to clean out my work email or fold laundry or clean the kitchen but can’t find that time to read, or would immediately fall asleep. I also get weirdly invested in literature and it’s hard for me to disengage so I get too upset about sad things or ditch work to finish a book because I can’t stand to leave it unfinished. I think I only read about 10-20 books or so last year and at least a few were non fiction.

69. All books, no audio (not even remembering using my Kindle last year).

I read a few a week. Haven’t tracked though. Fiction and non fiction.
