Not the PP but my close friend would have said the same thing about not mourning a death, and she couldn’t leave because the courts would have given 50/50 custody to a violently abusive man. She was scared for the lives of her children. At least when she was there, he hit her and not her daughters.

I think it is possible the same thing is true of Erika Kirk but we can’t know. She and her dead husband were against everything I stand for, but I hate the attacks on her. It’s cruel, and when I see Democrats doing it, they seem no better than Candace Owens.

Yeah that’s just bad decision making on her part. My mother was brutally abused and you know what she did? Took me and left him. No money, no future security, nothing at all. She went to another state and protected me. That’s what you do when you are facing true life/death situations. Your friend either wants attention, is overly dramatic or is incredibly stupid. If you fear that someone will kill your kids you flee for your life. You live in a remote jungle if you have to. You don’t stick around.

DP. Are you suggesting women turn fugitive and kidnap their kids? That's what taking a child out of state with no intention of returning and without the other parent's consent is. Over here in reality, most fugitives are caught. How are the children better off when Mom is in prison and sociopath Dad has sole custody?

Your Mom might have tried her best, but this vicious post you wrote to hurt a complete stranger shows you turned out as horrible as your Dad.

+1 That was shockingly nasty.

The Erika Kirk attackers like that PP are making Democrats look awful, maybe because they are as nasty as that PP. I wish they would stop.

The “Erika Kirk attacker” being discussed here is Candace Owens, who is very much not a Democrat.

The people in this thread who are gleefully joining Candace Owens in her attacks are Democrats.

If you think Democrats are the only political party to disparage someone, I have a bridge to sell you. Republicans can be definitively heartless towards various people themselves.

It is impossible to have a discussion with someone so dense. Nothing in what was written approached anything like the bolded. Of course the Republicans wildly disparage people. That doesn’t take away from the fact that the disgusting posts in this thread are from Democrats.

+100
The wild conspiracy theories and ugly comments are most definitely coming from the hypocritical left. What a ridiculous thread.

It’s like watching Americans get collective mental illness it’s actually shocking to watch in real time.

Times of Israel: ‘Jewish donors play into all the stereotypes,’ Charlie Kirk wrote in leaked texts before murder

In the days before his murder, Charlie Kirk was frustrated — and he wasn’t hiding it from his friends. The conservative influencer complained in a WhatsApp group that his “Jewish donors” were “playing into all the stereotypes” and said they were pushing him to “leave the pro-Israel cause.

Those messages surfaced and were confirmed as authentic this week, giving new insight into what was on Kirk’s mind before his death.

“I cannot and will not be bullied like this,” Kirk wrote in the group WhatsApp conversation, which included Jewish associates.

The messages, along with the recently revealed full text of a letter Kirk had sent to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu several months before his death, provide additional evidence that Kirk’s frustrations with the behavior of Israel and its supporters were boiling over.

Kirk discussed what he implied was Jewish blowback to his associations with both of them, including plans to invite Tucker Carlson to an event staged by his group Turning Point USA.

“Just lost another huge Jewish donor. $2 million a year because we won’t cancel Tucker,” Kirk wrote, adding, “I’m thinking of inviting Candace.” Another member of the thread, whose identity has not been revealed, responded, “Ugghhh”; later someone adds “Please don’t invite Candace.”

[TPUSA spokesperson Andrew] Kolvet noted that Kirk tended to strike “a more moderate tone in public” on the subject of Israel than the way he came across in the texts, while also sharing past interviews in which Kirk had expressed frustration that some pro-Israel circles were portraying him as an antisemite. Prior to his death, Kirk had sent a letter to Netanyahu warning him that Israel was “losing support even in conservative circles.”

That was a bit confusing, did he mean that their pro-Israel bullying was pushing him away from being pro-Israel?

Yes, his billionaire Pro-Israel donors were infuriated that he hosted anti-zionist speakers like Tucker and Smith and threatened to pull money at the very least from TPUSA.

The reality is that Erika Kirk would give you idiots more grace than you even consider giving to her.
She did not ask for this role. She did not wish her husband would be murdered in front of millions so she could assume the role he once held.

How bold of you to know exactly how a widow with two young children should grieve.
I think the majority of you are just plain jealous women who have never known true love.

Although she did not ask for this role, she's not exactly running away from it either.

She stepped into the role because this is what Charlie would have wanted. She has made that very clear.
And, her appearances are to promote the book that Charlie finished just before he was murdered.
It amazes me that the people here, who have likely never suffered a loss so significant as Erika has suffered, seem to know what she should say, how she should act, and how she should grieve. You people just have no idea.

Kirk said women should stay home and raise children. Not parading in front of TV. That is reserved for men.

I think they're desperately working to keep the slavish loyalty of kirk's christian zionist die hards, especially via the "look how brave she is/look how well she's holding up" motif. I think a lot of them are sustained by the fantasy of his "martyrdom" but Erika's craven, nakedly political PR tour w Zionists like weiss are evidence they're concerned about the evangelical/israeli coalition holding.

Candace is exposing that God coalition has been behaving very nefariously.

Democratic politicians used to tell their supporters to "go high when they go low". After many years of malicious gaslighting (and seriously you all know that's what it is), they are finally playing hard ball themselves.

At this point everyone knows (i think you know as well) that you only have compassion for people you think are republicans.

It’s this.

Look, I don’t care how people grieve as long as they aren’t hurting others.

But this is a woman who very vocally says women need to be at home raising kids. She would tell any woman in her shoes to stay home and be with the kids, not go in a money-grabbing media tour.

It’s the hypocrisy that’s so alarming. Why would Charlie and Erika want every other woman on earth to stay in the kitchen, but Erika is special and gets to go capitalize on a tragedy?

Cult leaders are different. Obviously.

But more seriously, it's been pretty common for the exception to the "women at home" rule to be women's whose husbands have died. They get to take over their politician husbands' careers.
