If I remember correctly, she ended up leaving The New York Times because staff revolted over publishing an editorial by Tom Cotton, that called for putting down George Floyd riots, show no mercy'.

The Op Ed Bennett left over it. He had other issues.

Bari threw herself into the mix and claimed she was harassed and forced out, but the staff showed she was making up most of her claims. She quit.

She is an opportunist and not a particularly good journalist

Everything. If the premise is that CBS is going to be fair and balanced and factual from here out, that then also means they need to call out the Trump administration or anyone else from the GOP when they peddle falsehoods.

I feel like ever since Biden's bad debate, most of the "main stream media" has gone coward, essentially abandoned that and now just does whatever it can do to avoid Trump's ire. GOP lies, and they pass it along to their audience.

I’m confused.

Bari was a conservative voice when she was on staff at the NYT, but that was in comparison to her fellow colleagues. I’ve thought most of her stuff comes across as moderate rather than far right or left.

Admittedly, I haven’t followed her closely in recent years, but I can’t imagine she’s become some sort of rightwing nutjob. I mean, she’s a lesbian who has been fairly vocal on issues typically championed by the left.

I understand some might take issue with whatever she’s said/written about Israel, but the reality is the Israel/Palestine thing has been a terrible battle for hundreds of years with both sides having blood on their hands and shifting culpability forever…and most people take soundbites out of context.

Honestly, I think most people are gravitating to the middle these days. And I wish MSM would simply stick to the facts without any political spin.

Other than being a lesbian, there is not much liberal about her. Ok. But what people are getting at is that she has burned many bridges along the way and there is a reason credible journalists don’t like her. She claims to be anti ‘cancel culture’ but then tried to have pro Palestine professors fired. She claimed to be ‘harassed’ and ‘forced out’ at the Times, but her colleagues showed she lied.

Have you listened to any of her interviews or read any of her articles? I think she creates far better materials than the majority of the current mainstream or alternative media.
