They were on some show circa 2005 (I watched it while pregnant) where they sang this song and then some other popular song that wasn’t theirs. They were pretty dang good.

They sampled songs on their other big hit “Set Adrift a Memory Bliss.”

I am elder millennial so I like the ones people are suggesting from later 90s. But I remember these from when I was young:

From the late 90s I remember that Edwin McCain song from Dawson’s Creek and the Paula Cole and Sarah McLachlan albums.

The eighties were better.

I have a playlist called Chill Songs of the 90s

Here are some that I'd recently forgotten about and unearthed....

Spin Doctors How Could You Want Him (When you know you could have me): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOGBcYN1Hu4

Crush by Smashing Pumpkins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REWuNRvkDxk

Slide by Goo Goo Dolls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yP4qdefD2To

Black Metallic by Catherine Wheel

(not gonna go in depth into the amazing songs that have never really disappeared, like Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns, Doll Parts, Jane Says, anything by Pearl Jam or Nirvana, Stay by Lisa Loeb, A Long December, etc)

Elder millennial here ('81 baby). Too many songs to list, but I distinctly remember playing several soundtracks from the mid-late 90's on repeat including: Empire Records, Clueless, Can't Hardly Wait, 10 Things I Hate About You, and Romeo + Juliet...
