It's a pro-Lively poster. There aren't many so anyone who defended Lively was accused of being a paid shill from Lively's team. The poster responded she was just a mom from Arlington and some people refer to her as that sarcastically. |
New unsealed pages from Blake's depo: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304.649.3.pdf
I only read the first page but everyone's favorite lawyer comes off as a huge d-bag. |
I think Blake is full of crap and she and Ryan cooked up this scheme, but I have felt sympathy for her exactly twice in the past year and her birthday earlier this week was definitely one.
On her story she posted all the people giving her her birthday love, including jewelry designers she works with and a make up artist, which seems like business relationships, and there was one from Amber Tamblyn - it’s sweet that they have been friends for two decades. And one from her sister, Robin, which was also sweet. But that’s it, nothing from the Taylor squad as they have all sided with Taylor and nothing from Ryan. He usually posts on Mother’s Day and her birthday, but I guess they are trying to lay low after the backlash he is getting from the Robert Downey Jr. rift. The other time I felt sorry for her was at the end of the SNL 50th, where they got a shot of her standing in the audience section by herself while everyone else, including Ryan, was on stage. I mean, they totally bought this PR nightmare on themselves, but still. |
So did Taylor officially dump Blake or is it for legal reasons they can’t associate publicly? Taylor is usually quick to do a pap walk when her girls are in trouble. |
Officially dropped. There would be no reason for Travis to Unfollow Ryan Reynolds, knowing it would get reported within a matter of seconds, if they were still friends. The legal argument makes no sense and is a desperate attempt for Blake supporters to try to explain the fact that Taylor has cut ties with her. In no way would the case be in jeopardy if Blake had dinner with Taylor or if Taylor posted a group photo and Blake was among the group. There’s no legal reason why Blake can attend Gigi‘s birthday party either lol. So ridiculous. Taylor’s team has quashed any involvement of Taylor in this matter and there’s no going back on that. No reason to have to cut ties other than it being Taylor’s choice. |
Exactly. People really think celebrities are less emotional than they actually are and function like strategic automatons 24/7. |
Dang… thank you. So from my understanding, Blake overplayed her hand with Taylor’s influence (khaleesi texts and threatening to release personal texts). Anything else I’m missing? |
Certainly seems that way. But seems like Taylor has been cautious about this from the start. I thought it was really weird that she never said anything about the release of the movie given that her song was used. I know she was busy with her tour, but she called out Ryan and his work on Deadpool, and yet her supposed Bestie did this big project and used her song and nothing from Taylor? So I suspect she was wary of Blake’s BS around this movie since the premier and marketing messiness. Then the New York Times article comes out, sisterhood of the traveling pants girls all show support but nothing from Taylor. But yeah, I think the straw that broke the camels back was she started to see when Justin released the website all the ways Blake was using her for clout and then I think the breaking point was Blake was getting really desperate around the Super Bowl as people were speculating that the friendship was over. I don’t believe Blake said anything malicious like if you don’t issue a statement of support I’m leaking our texts. But I do think she probably insinuated something like, look if you don’t issue a statement of support Freedman and team are going to continue to come after you and we might have to release some of our communications. But if you show you are supporting me, they might not be able to use you as leverage. It seems like that would be a big ordeal for any friendship to overcome. This case has just really made Blake’s true colors come out. And it opened the door for a lot of Taylor’s friends to say Blake has been using you for years. Apparently Selena, Sabrina and several other of Taylor’s friends have always been wary of Blake. |
Taylor knows Blake’s lying and wants nothing to do with it. Sorry Blake fans. |
From yesterday, WF responded to Jones’ surreply (filed without leave of the Court) on attorney) fees. https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304.705.0.pdf
Many solid legal arguments here, but perhaps most noteworthy to this thread, the text excerpt at least one Blake supporter here was claiming to be new and a game changer wasn’t new at all and was in fact cited by Jones in her previous filings. |
Hmmm what is the psychology of Blake here? Why would she risk her BFF status with Taylor over a movie? Or did she not think through the possible consequences? |
I don’t even think it extends that far. Taylor has a very curated public image and the moment Blake threatened to release their personal texts was a line that could never be uncrossed. Realistically, I think Taylor was focused on her eras tour when all the IEWU stuff happened and probably never gave it much thought. But once Blake tried to manipulate Taylor by threatening to release texts. That’s something she can’t un-know. There was never going to be any coming back from that. Blake overplayed her hand and thought she was the smartest person in the room. Instead, she’s in her Find Out era after FA. |
No one cares about this anymore. There is one poster who clearly is paid by one side who sock puppets endlessly. What a sh*tty job you have. |
"Baldoni's Wayfarer Studios paid $30,000 per month to social media strategist Jed Wallace, texts show." |
Blake's a unique combination of manipulative and dumb and I wouldn’t underestimate RR's influence in this whole thing. I think Taylor and her team are pretty savvy and realized quickly they didn’t want to align themselves with these hucksters trying to set fire to MeToo. Using Swift for leverage and potentially getting texts was the nail in the coffin. |
