Sean Charles Dunn (Sandwich Thrower) is exactly what I needed today!

Love it. I hope it becomes a trend.

If you look at the “protestors” in Logan last night, all white. So the DCUM view of him may not be universal. Some native Washingtonians have said they welcome LE resources. Everyone is not the same in experiences or outlook. Wish him luck with a jury but I’d bet he will take a plea.

They charged a guy with a felony for throwing a sandwich at a guy wasting tax money standing around in body armor, and you think that the sandwich dude is the sissy?

LMAO.

You folks cried like babies at the tyranny of medical masks because they hurt your widdle wungs but you are going to fly the flag at half mast because GIJoe got hit with a sandwich? During an armed occupation of a US city?

My god you are soft.

+1. He may accomplish what Elon tried to do.

Hope it was worth it for his 15 seconds of fame in resist online circles.

He also just threw away a good sandwich. What a waste.

While this is an unusual way to do it, it sure seems like he was standing up to domestic enemies of the Constitution.

Truth.

Exactly! What a ninny.

I mean, finally, someone, ANYONE, doing SOMETHING.

I'm obsessed with this story and I hope it gets bigger. As a DOJ employee he probably knew what he was doing when he threw that sandwich (and it looks in the video like it was done with intent and not just in a fit of rage). This is civil disobedience for 2025: provocative, not actually violent (the sandwich practically bounces off the FBI dude's chest), rife with possibilities for humor and symbolism. Then Pam Bondi refers to him as the "Deep State"? Omg, it just gets better.

I'm just waiting for the Go Fund Me for him to drop so I can voice my support.
Exactly. Want the t-shirt.

“I did it! I threw the sandwich!”
♩♪♫♬ ...but I swear it was in self-defense... ♩♪♫♬
Oh wait are you going to be on a jury in DC? When I get jury duty I will nullify anything these Feds charge.
He was charged in federal court, bit of a different vibe than Superior Court. A lot of DC jurors are homophobic and hate gentrifiers, that won’t help him.
What does homophobia have to do with anything?
Is he gay?
he used his foot long to hit a manly man whine wearing a pink shirt and short shorts.

He’s a HERO!
(See what I did there?)

What kind of sandwich was it?

Seriously, don’t throw stuff at others. But when you compare this to January 6, for example, it really makes you wonder who exactly the snowflakes really are.

And why does that get him INTO jail when Jan 6 Trumpers did way more, causing actual bodily harm to LEOs and then got pardoned?

As a former prosecutor I find the charges ridiculous and shameful. Simple misdemeanor assault is what is called for here by the ethical obligations on prosecutors - but one of the biggest problems with our criminal justice system is the failure of so many prosecutors to put aside ego and ambition and follow the moral obligation to seek justice, not merely convictions.

Feds can only charge felonies. So any arrest for anything is a felony. Hopefully most people will choose a trial by jury. It is our duty as citizens to use jury nullification on any and all cases brought by any federal law enforcement.

That is correct everywhere else, but not in DC. The US Attorney prosecutes all levels of crimes in DC, including misdemeanors. The US Attorney is the prosecutor for the people of DC, and should have exercised discretion to file this as a misdemeanor. They are overreaching not to force a plea, but to make a political point - but it’s an embarrassment considering Jan 6 and the pardons that followed.

Dunn was a Justice Department employee with the Office of International Affairs within the criminal division.

He has also been described as a contractor.

Sean Dunn, Trial Attorney at DOJ is about 20 yrs older, the sandwich guy is NOT a lawyer.

This article has the amazing line:
After the incident, Dargin crossed the street to examine the sandwich, which, he said, appeared to have salami.

Dude spent all that time filming to be ready for his 15 minutes. He wanted to know the relevant details.

We know the white protesters are professional paid agitators. It’s a fun gig for them.

You are so clearly not from DC. We don’t need to import professional agitators against Trump and his policies. We voted 93 percent against him. We hate him with a passion.
