That is true - though lots of schools have that now. My child got into Chemical Engineering which is what they wanted - I don't think it is as competitive. And Wisconsin, you get into your major but you have to have a certain GPA by 2nd year in order to be guaranteed it. Keeping above a 3.3 in engineering for a social kid is tough!

They miswrote. The mid Atlantic is to insufferable as PNW mainly Seattle is to the freeze.
