Best party favor your kid has ever gotten?

I also love getting water bottles because my kids are always losing them.

For a birthday sleepover between Thanksgiving and Christmas, we once gave out Gap holiday flannel pajamas. Huge hit!

I like the water bottles too.

Stuffed animal they made at the party. Like a traveling Build a Bear.

My kid got a puzzle one time at a party. The host had bought like 12-15 of them and each kid could pick which one they wanted as they were leaving. I thought that was a good one. (Kids were approximately 3-5 yos; the puzzle was one of those traditional cardboard ones that are about 9x13.)

Each guest was surprised upon departure to be handed an envelope. Inside? A beautiful card that identified a charity that had received a $100 donation in the guest’s name. And a note thanking them for coming to the party, being a friend and caring about animals/the earth/the community.

Kids were 12. Perfect age to understand it. They were all really inspired. Obviously, a wealthy host and not something everyone can do. But I loved it.

(And no junk or candy.)

Holllyyyyy shi!. This is amazing/insane. I can't tell if I want to be those parents or those kids

This charity donation thing is funny to me because what if two guests named two charities with diametrically opposing aims, like, someone chose Planned Parenthood and someone else chose National Right to Life? Their donations would cancel each other out.

NP. I like this idea actually.

We did this once. The party kids painted pots at the very start of the party and let them dry in the sun. At the end of the party the kids got to pick out a plant and put it in their pot. Activity and favor all in one.

Another year we did para cord bracelets. Those were alot of fun too.

I'm glad to have given favors that many have picked as their favorites! We have only given books, bubble wands, and themed cookies. I hate junk.

Best favor we got was a build-a-bear Olaf. Was my older child's favor and now has been passed on to my youngest. I think we might do this for a favor/party activity this year.

I also like the puzzle idea and the apron idea.

I love this idea but how do you know what size to buy? I would hate for it not to fit properly and embarrass a kid.

Save it. Give it kids to assume responsibility over or donate- repurpose it.

I see the utility in the towel or tote bag. less the stuff for little kids...who wants a donated monogramed item unless you have a common name?

do you want all the bar mitzvah t shirts with your kids name on it at the goodwill?

You ask your daughter, and leave the tags on (so they can exchange for a different size if needed).

Children need to understand THAT ONLY the birthday child receives gifts. The guests is invited to a party is fed and had a good time.

Eh, something small out the door can be a really useful tool to end the party.

None. We want to leave with nothing.
