True. I don't care about their club, or their clownish anonymous poster parents, but it is a cool name. I also like Ballistic United from California.

You do know the nickname of Charlotte is the Queen City, right? Do you want to make fun of the big apple now?

Wait. What? I said it was a cool name.

Put some respect on the name.

Here is some cope for you DMV parents to have at the ready:
- our team just started practicing
- our boys just did not bring their A game
- at least our team got some exercise

Be ready to witness...
INTEGRITY IDENTITY INTENSITY

You go, Queen!

As one of what appears to be several Queen City parents who haunt this board, I'm super not surprised at the poking fun, nor am I especially offended. I'm a long time participant here though and well aware of the level of discourse.

QC is a small club with only boys and prior to MLSN2 had only one MLSN1 team per age group. The AD teams will have been together for two weeks when they play at the tournament and practiced at most 5 times together. I'm feeling pretty good about what I've seen on the field so far but I'm sure they'll struggle against teams that moved into the league with a year or more experience playing together.

Hoping it gets cold again though, roasting on the sidelines in August is never fun!

Quite a few DMV MLSNext clubs will also be quite new in that they are trying out new players to replace a few starters that have left. So have low expectations or take wins and losses with that perspective.

Almost all teams are going to be rusty. Plus many will have new players. This is a tournament you never even bother with the score because it’s a chance for the coach to see things in a live fire exercise and make adjustments (our team doesn’t even start practice until next Monday). So this is a fun way to break in the new season.

With respect to the Queen City, I believe one of the first posts was by a parent. And I for one enjoy a little smack talk, so I’m here for it.

I wish the club well this coming season. My advice is relax and enjoy the ride. Spending time with your DC on the car ride, the hotel, his friends, the competition.

More a series of friendlies than a tournament. No playoffs or championship but great competition nonetheless

Sure. NYC is a dump right now. Rampant crime.

You do realize that New York City ranks in the top 15 percent safest of more than 800 U.S. cities right? I know that goes against your narrative, but the cities you think are rampant in crime are not only way below red cities but also fund the red cities in taxes right? Right? Right?

one of our games was just cancelled

with the hurricane pending- what’s the odds Loudoun County Parks cancels the grass field games? LCPR closes Hanson all the time - and esp this early into season

No way is anyone cancelling anything for weather this far out. That's a day-of thing, or night-before at the soonest.
