I don’t know. It’s a relatively inexpensive tournament with good teams. It’s a great opportunity for coaches to see the new players on the squad in real time before the games matter. Works for me.

If you want your kid to have a shot, the games don’t matter for kids before age 16. Learn and develop from every game and situation.

If you are still in this tournament at age 16, you just should not worry about the scores and comparing because your kid is not good enough to be having these types of evaluations.

I dont know why these delusional people think the only valid reason to play soccer is to reach the professional level when 99% won't make it there no matter what they do and just want to have fun competing at whatever level they are at.

Hey Richard Cranium, this is a 3 game tune up akin to the NFL’s preseason. It gives the coach a chance to see new players and how they work with existing players, try new formations, etc.

I have no idea what else you are babbling about. I give zero F’s about “scores and comparisons” whatever that means.

If you dont care about the score of games until you are 16, then clearly the purpose of playing is to reach the highest level and do everything right to get there. If that's your goal, then that's fine nothing wrong with it, just dont force it on everyone else. But most players don't have that goal and just want to compete.
