Asthma is a ridiculous reason? My cousin WANTED to join the Army but was denied due to asthma.

Imagine being such an idiotic goon where despite being presumably an American citizen, you would eagerly have kids join the military - sidestepping the draft question - to support military action that does not, cannot, create ANY benefit for Americans.

I said no to OP’s question because at this point, I don’t think any young person should elect, ever, to join the military in any capacity. I think were in the sorrows of empire stage in this country, that the opportunity for ‘just wars’ and engagement was shat on by foreign policy by both major parties (Clinton, most shamefully, with the lack of engagement in Rwanda, and dilatory response in the Balkans). It’s all a farce. But the aftermath of 10/7/23 has made it utterly impossible to ignore that the civilians of this country are asked to accept the absurd idea that our national interests are 1 to 1 with Israel’s, which is absurd beyond description. Enough of this shit.
