One of my favorites of hers was Life Among the Savages/- her reminiscences of raising 4 children in VT.

PP here. Just started The Sundial! I've been reading something by her every fall. I also loved Life Among the Savages. She does such a good job describing young children.

Tartt and Jackson are also two of my favorites.

Novels with horror/magical realism/gothic elements have become really popular today but I still haven’t read anything that can come close to Jackson’s style of writing.
