+1. Plus, his older son clearly did not want to be there. I can't imagine having three young children and upending their lives to be associated with Trump. Just a few years back Vance compared Trump to Hitler. Vance isn't stupid. He knows that Trump is a terrible human being. Why tie your family to that monster?

Without a doubt. Trump is nuts. He is completely out of touch with reality at this point. He has been lying for so long, along with the dementia he probably believes the nonsense he spouts. Vance, on the other hand, knows exactly what he is doing. The smug douchebag sold his soul.
