Thoughts on the name “Wilder”?

Agreed. The poor girl will have a very rough childhood due to her parents thinking they’re being cool and unique.

Truly stupid.

I know a girl named Larkin who has always been called Lux since birth.

Depending on your career, you could also have:
Lawyerly

it's very much a current "influencer" name

I'm not here to crap on anyone's baby name, but I have a distant relative named Chase, and aaaalll the jokes became reality. Multiple run-ins with cops in his teens and 20s. Including, yes, foot chases and one car chase.

Weird. I know two adult Chases and they’re completely normal.

I love the name Lark(in).

Though Lux unfortunately reminds me of “The Virgin Suicides.”

My DH is now very interested in this name for potential future kids of ours, but I honestly think it sounds a bit like the parents are trying too hard to be “edgy” or “cool”. I don’t mean to offend anyone on here, but what are peoples thoughts? There’s just something about it I don’t like, but it’s hard to explain why.

Could be a family name. Mother's maiden name, etc.

It’s a family name of mine. I’d think someone that took it for a name without a connection was pitiful. It’s not a generic first name. It belongs to people not you.
