I'm sorry to upset you PP, but I assume you work for a chemical company. I'm so happy RFK Wormbrain is trying to get pesticides and artificial ingredients out of our food supply. All Americans will be healthier as a result, and no one is going to starve. That's chemco propaganda. |
This is false. Glyphosate is completely unsafe. More chemical company LIES. Good for Wormbrain!! |
We did just fine before Big Farming created monocultures that are killing us. A far more diverse, chemical-free food supply will benefit all of us. Big Farms and Big Processed Food go hand in hand with obesity, a major killer of Americans. I doubt any of RFKJrs proposals will come to fruition, but I support them because they are good for Americans. Nothing else the Trump regime is doing benefits anyone but the rich. |

Obesity is coming from excess consumption of sugars and fats. American culture of giant sized sodas, Starbucks coffees, and fast food. It is a cultural thing. |
That’s nice that you’ve found a system that works for you, but that doesn’t mean it works for everyone else. |
Obesity is directly tied to increased pesticide use, globally. Many people have success detoxing before losing weight. |
RFK Jr is not over the EPA. Trump administration actual actions at EPA will lead to worse and increased pesticide use, not less. RFK Jr is a distraction and can say whatever he likes, but the Trump admin actions at EPA speak louder than words. Why is RFK Jr silent on PFAs?? |
So you want everyone to migrate from the cities back to small farms to engage in manual labor? Do you know how expensive food would get if it could not longer be produced at scale? The only reason you can even say stupid sh*t like this is because you literally know nothing about the food system. Or I dunno, I guess you want to go back to the days of The Jungle and people regularly dying of food borne illness. |
Hmm, I thought it was the decreased governement support and emphasis on free market by Reagan in the 80s that lead to the proliferation of Big Farms. Unfettered capitalism meets food production. |
100% and not just the EPA, the pro-business arm of the party - which is pretty much a cornerstone of their platform. Republicans are the party of less regulation (unless you have a uterus) and pro-unrestrained capitalism. Our food is what it is because of these principles (not that the Democrats have tackled this since 2010 either - and that was more about the nutritional value of school lunches as opposed to targeting specific ingredients - but I do recall Michelle Obama's goals and how Glenn Beck/Fox News were very critical). I don't expect RFK to be successful and I can't imagine that he doesn't realize that. He might get 1 or 2 things removed from our food as a gimme, but those specifics are probably being negotiated behind the scenes with Big Food. https://www.ibtimes.com/fox-hails-rfk-jr-make-america-healthy-bashed-michelle-obama-over-same-goal-3751380 (Glenn Beck - "Get your hands off my G-D fries, lady") https://www.newsweek.com/rfk-school-lunch-program-michelle-obama-republican-support-2023737 |
Because the felon is pro-pfas. Yes, MAGA is silent about this. |
Everyone has been silient about pfas until about the last month or so. People only started caring about it when they figured they could use it as a weapon against MAHA. I'm not going to really complain about the motivation so long as we get pfas banned sooner than later. But we're not going to take our eyes off fluoride or vaccines, sorry! |
Yes people spoke up when Trump rolled back regulation to remove pfas from drinking water. It was so obviously hypocritical vs their states MAHA goals that it became a big thing. |
You can buy unfluoridated water if you want or get a filter. But in the meantime, read this. https://www.statnews.com/2024/09/05/fluoride-water-child-iq-study-national-toxicology-program/ |
