WHY ARE KIDS GOING TO KINGS DOMINION/FUNLAND ON AN INSTRUCTIONAL DAY?
FFS, no wonder Americans are so stupid. They don’t pull this crap elsewhere. |
Doesn’t the band pay for that separately via fundraising? |
SCHOOL TRIPS HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR DECADES. STOP WHINING ABOUT EVERY LITTLE THING FFS. |
have you heard of mental health? social emotional well being? |
When was this? We had a line item in our budget for annual CCPTA donation in our approved budget. Then the CCPTA would issue grants to various schools. It was never an issue AFAIK but I haven’t paid attention in recent years. |
So many crappy assumptions here. Don’t be a dick. |
They don’t? European kids go camping and going on ski trips. |
Of course. School bands sell fruit or other fundraisers to go on these fun trips. |
Yes. It is also part of a program. They participate in a music competition and get feedback from judges and get to go to the park. |
lol… priorities! SEL more important than math 🙃 |
These trips aren’t included in the instructional days. At least not where I’m from. Can’t speak for all though. |
2018ish |
The Band and Chorus are competing/performing at Kings Dominion. All costs are paid for by parents/fundraising, NOT PTA. |
Same for kids we know in India. |
I bet those kids in India don’t have mediocre grades and test scores though. |
