I can't speak to your kid's current school, so I'm unable to compare. However, BU's pre-med program is quite good. They also have a co-ed professional biology fraternity, which could be helpful if you're able to join. Members support each other and provide mentorship from upperclassmen. Shadowing and volunteer opportunities are relatively easy to find. Being proactive will open up a ton of opportunities. |
Thanks!! the current school is UIUC with a 4.0 GPA so far. Way too much partying/drinking for my liking! Not happy with dorm/food. |
Just a heads up some of BU’s dorms are horrible. Moldy, falling apart, malfunctioning heat awful. Some people get fantastic new dorms but someone has to go in the bad ones. Usually it’s the transfer kids. They are also closing part of one of the huge dorms for renovations and cramming those students in existing rooms and hotel room. Not that someone would choose a school based on dorms but it’s good to go in knowing what the situation is. Food is average for a college. |
Colleges aren't resorts. Same can be said for most schools, unless you're going to High Point. 🙂 Some dorms? Very subjective. There are a lot more high quality, "fantastic" dorms at BU than not. And on-campus housing is guaranteed for all 4 years! |
You cab join the fb group and have kid join an off campus house or apartment. |
