Sure, but do today's 17 year olds even know who David Brooks is? I don't think teen boys are even familiar with traditional, actual conservatism. I think conservative now=Maga. I wish there were more actual conservatives around these days but they've been entirely consumed by their party, which is Maga. I think 40 and 50 somethings are trying to split hairs here where I don't see a ton of teen boys just super engaged on fiscal policy. They're largely buying the maga right hook line and sinker.

+1. Rhodes, while preppy and w a religious affiliation, is actually a pretty liberal school. Just bc a college is in the south doesn’t automatically make it conservative and many southern colleges are not conservative.

Furman is pretty conservative though and I’d say Sewanee is more of a mix but leans conservative.

Yes. I'd love to meet the teens super inspired by William F Buckley or whoever but for now...conservative is red hate wearing Maga to this gen.
