What a cop out. I have two kids….one liberal leaning who went to q more conservative school and one conservative who went to a liberal school….They are now much more in tune to the other side.

I think it would be helpful to know if you mean religiously conservative and if so, Protestant or Catholic. Or if you mean politically conservative but areligious (aka Barstool Conservative or red pilled or whatever the term is).

No question...

Encourage your son to look at colleges in the Midwest and Plain States. University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Kansas State University, University of Tulsa, and Purdue University have a good mix of conservatives and liberals.

When you say "conservative" do you mean MAGA or like traditional republicanism? There is a difference.

I think you can find pockets of non-MAGA republicanism at many SEC schools. SEC schools are big enough that there are kids from all parts of the political spectrum. If the large size is a concern, there are many ways to make the school feel smaller

Do you mean conservative values or a Trumper? These are different.

Sometimes it depends on the major. My son is in a large state university and is in a business major. He said his business classes have been politically neutral (not sure about now). He took an elective and said the professor made her views pretty clear.

In a large university, there will be so many different students and opinions. My kid is pretty conservative also, and it has not been an issue.

I always find these questions ironic. As much as there is a media perception of every college being a liberal bastion, the reality is that these “what are colleges for conservative students” have a list a mile long. Short answer, any place with a lot of wealth and any place with too little.

OP, just because the news you read focuses on "the libs" at colleges, doesn't mean those are the only people there.
