Youth: birth through 18 to 20 years
Young adult: 18-20 through 37 to 40 years Middle aged adult: 37 to 40 years through 55 to 60 years Older adult: 55 to 60 years to 75 to 80 years Elderly: 75+/80+ Specific years depends on your personal health, genetics, gender. But these divisions work pretty well considering average life expectancy in the US. |
| I feel like age is a pendulum swinging between 10 years younger and 10 years older than your age. Some days you feel old, some days you feel young. |
| 50 is old AF. |
| It’s all relative. It depends on how old the other person is. For a 10 year old, 30 is ancient. For a 20 year old, 50 would seem like really old. But to a 40 year old 50 would seem relatively “young” |
Yep to a 40 year old |
Spoken like a true teenager … |
This is a good summary although officially the beginning of old age starts at 65. |
This. The people I know between 50 and 75 are having a huge amount of fun. |
| Old is like mid 60's and on. |
|
So 65+ to 100 is old. Got it.
|
I don't trust people under 30 either. |
Laura Kraut will kick your ass. |
20 is old. If you have not made a name for yourself by then, you might as well die. |
| 20 years older than you are. |
Actually, it's a sliding scale. When you're 5 a high schooler seems old. When you're 50 it's more like 80 feels old. It also depends on the person older than you. I know some 70 year olds that look like their on death's door, and some 85 year olds that look great and have great energy. |
