+1 and adding that your kids will be fine, at least mine and all the other people using before/after care type things on the regular pre-pandemic are finding our kids who are now tweens/teens are great. No damage done despite what people might say.

If it makes you feel better, I’m a SAHM and we are home too much. I think my preschooler would really benefit from more time with peers. Pluses and minuses are everywhere.

Is she in preschool 5 days per week? Even just 3 hours a day is plenty. Mine went to preschool 8-12 every day. We then went to lunch after a playground. I made a lot of use out of all the public playgrounds. We sometimes met one of my friends to hang around with our kids. Sometimes they would visit their preschool friends or their friends would come over. My family was close by so we would get together.

Most towns also have activities for that age in the morning. There should be plenty for you to choose from. Daycare can be tiresome for kids and not very fun being in the same building for 9 hours a day.

I hated staying home so we were on the go a lot. Once they went to bed I’d zone out watching TV.
