They and others don’t want Palestinians because it would solve a big headache for Israel. It’s not rocket science. |
Wait, you think you're a good person because you moved into land stolen from its people? So I can just wait for someone else to kill you and sell me your house, and that's cool? |

Jordan and Egypt don't want Palestinians because Palestinians invaded those countries as conquerors and tried to kill their leaders.
They and others don’t want Palestinians because it would solve a big headache for Israel. It’s not rocket science.
Palestine is Egypt and Jordan's Ukraine against Israel as Russia. Buffer state against the invader. If Israel gets Palestine they'll be knocking on Egypt and Jordan next, again. |

Now it’s just a case of clearing it out. Theirs is no buffer between any of those countries. |
It’s clear that Hamas weren’t happy about that potential deal, but I don’t think anyone doubts that they would have attacked Israel even if it had never been proposed. They were always going to do as much damage as they could as soon as they saw an opportunity. But the question is whether they received specific support from other state-level actors to carry out the attack with a goal to putting an end to the deal. I don’t think we know the answer to that yet. |
Can we gather up the MAGA voters and fly them to Gaza. Let them create their own country in Gaza. |
Jordan got rid of them before. |
Right. The biggest compliment you can give a Trump voter and the Radical Religious Right is to give them credit as the ultimate communists, walking in the footsteps of MLK, JR: "Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere. After long chain of mistakes through the Holocaust to Zionism to Palestine, and the suffering in turn of the Jews and then the Palestinians, the only righteous act is to accelerate to Armageddon, annihilating the world and welcoming the Raptue. Humans are not good enough to be stewards on the Earth. Let's all go the the next world, whatever it may be. (Mars is the backup plan.) |
Arrogant idiots never notice their mistakes. They are always the victim. |
Some of the violent ones. There’s still tons of them there. If someone says they’re Jordanian I assume they are Palestinian. The only real Jordanians are Bedouin. Even the royal family isn’t Jordanian, they’re a Saudi transplant. |
Trump is right that Gaza is essentially uninhabitable as it stands.
It will literally take decades to clear the rubble. And that’s not even the worst problem. The whole strip is now strewn with unexplored ordinance and human remains. I don’t pretend to know what the solution is, but somebody has to figure something out. |
Palestinians make up about half of the Jordanian population. Syrians are probably at least ten percent. There are large numbers of Iraqis there as well. That it’s as stable as it is now is a modern political miracle. |
Syrians and Iraqis are more recent, displaced by the turmoil in their countries. A lot of Iraqis have gone home, or are going home. I get the impression they don’t like Jordan much. I think the Syrians will leave too if things are stable back home. |
To be clear, Biden didn’t lose. Kamala did. But my god this thread is a nasty little Hamas loving corner of the internet. |
Emptying Gaza will mean Hamas moves to Egypt. You think you saw a migrant crisis with Libya? A US/Israel war with Egypt, a country of 100 million people, and the New York of Africa and the Middle East, would cause a huge exodus to Europe and be extremely destabilizing to the region. |
