They and others don’t want Palestinians because it would solve a big headache for Israel. It’s not rocket science.

You have a lot of nerve. You vote for a criminal racist because your worried about the cost of you gas and taxes and think you have any idea what these people live through on any given day. They are systematically oppressed in every possible way no work, no industry, no education, no medical care, nothing and you want them to just sit there quietly. This oppression is strategic. Israel wants them to instigate a conflict so they can wipe them out. The retorts of Israel has a right to protect itself loses all ground when they start to commit genocide. I hope history portrays the Zionists for criminal savages they are.

History will. Just like history treats Columbus today. Unfortunately the Carib aren't around to gloat.

Hope you sleep well tonight. You did the same thing.

No I didn’t. I’m first generation so my ancestors weren’t even here, try again. And actually Columbus Day was initially created to help soothe tensions with Italian immigrants after the lynching of 11 Italians, but you know everything so.

Wait, you think you're a good person because you moved into land stolen from its people?

So I can just wait for someone else to kill you and sell me your house, and that's cool?

Palestine is Egypt and Jordan's Ukraine against Israel as Russia. Buffer state against the invader.

If Israel gets Palestine they'll be knocking on Egypt and Jordan next, again.

What do you mean “if” Israel gets Palestine. They got it long ago. Now it’s just a case of clearing it out. Theirs is no buffer between any of those countries.

The deal would have resulted in Saudi recognizing Israel and halting their pivot to China in return for the US supporting the development of the Saudi civilian nuclear program and Israel commitments to Palestinian autonomy. It would have been a huge win for the Biden administration, but China and Iran stood to lose big from the deal.

The events on and after 10/7 completely demolished it. While I’m not a fan of conspiracy theories, it’s interesting that the 10/7 attack happened as this deal was being finalized. Maybe we’ll find out at some point that there was a connection. Maybe, we won’t.

People should also remember that, prior to the IDF’s invasion of Gaza a few days after 10/7, the Biden administration put as much pressure as they could on Sisi to at least allow Palestinian women and children to cross the border into Sinai so that they wouldn’t be obliterated in the forthcoming onslaught. Sisi adamantly refused to let them in. I see no reason why he would now.

I thought it was already established that the 10/7 attack was orchestrated to scuttle the rapprochement between Israel and Saudi?

It’s clear that Hamas weren’t happy about that potential deal, but I don’t think anyone doubts that they would have attacked Israel even if it had never been proposed. They were always going to do as much damage as they could as soon as they saw an opportunity. But the question is whether they received specific support from other state-level actors to carry out the attack with a goal to putting an end to the deal. I don’t think we know the answer to that yet.

There will be a Trump Tower or Resort in Gaza within 10 years.

Fantastic. The sun seekers can buy up all those blood red maga hats in the gift shop so the poor things don't get a sunburn.

Can we gather up the MAGA voters and fly them to Gaza. Let them create their own country in Gaza.

Jordan got rid of them before.

Umm no. Shame on the democrats for not being better and actually earning the pro-Palestinian vote. Asking people to choose between two bad options and then blaming the people…classic.

Oh please. Welcome to American politics. There were two choices. One was worse for Palestinians than the other. That's usually the way it always is. You made your choice and now the Palestinians get to live with it.

Choice one was genocide. Choice two looks to be a pause in the genocide, then ethnic cleansing. To be determined.

These were two horrible options. That is NOT usually the way it is. The choice is not usually killing vs more killing.

Don't blame us for Trump. Blame his voters. Blame Genocide Joe for not doing anything except wagging his finger at Israel. And blame Kamala for LITERALLY saying she wouldn't do anything different.

Right. The biggest compliment you can give a Trump voter and the Radical Religious Right is to give them credit as the ultimate communists, walking in the footsteps of MLK, JR: "Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere. After long chain of mistakes through the Holocaust to Zionism to Palestine, and the suffering in turn of the Jews and then the Palestinians, the only righteous act is to accelerate to Armageddon, annihilating the world and welcoming the Raptue. Humans are not good enough to be stewards on the Earth.
Let's all go the the next world, whatever it may be. (Mars is the backup plan.)

Yep. Bet they feel pretty silly now.

Some of the violent ones. There’s still tons of them there. If someone says they’re Jordanian I assume they are Palestinian. The only real Jordanians are Bedouin. Even the royal family isn’t Jordanian, they’re a Saudi transplant.

Trump is right that Gaza is essentially uninhabitable as it stands.

It will literally take decades to clear the rubble. And that’s not even the worst problem. The whole strip is now strewn with unexplored ordinance and human remains.

I don’t pretend to know what the solution is, but somebody has to figure something out.

Palestinians make up about half of the Jordanian population. Syrians are probably at least ten percent. There are large numbers of Iraqis there as well. That it’s as stable as it is now is a modern political miracle.

Syrians and Iraqis are more recent, displaced by the turmoil in their countries. A lot of Iraqis have gone home, or are going home. I get the impression they don’t like Jordan much. I think the Syrians will leave too if things are stable back home.

You did. There are times that matter and times that don't. Congratulations, you and your friends struck the final blow against Palestine. As they know say in Khan Yunus and Ramallah, L'chaim

Says the person whose language originated in the 19th century.

My language is English moron and I'm an American first. I cared about Palestine long before it crossed your TikTok feed. But unlike you I didn't vote in favor of having Palestine ethnically cleansed and America turned into an oligarchy.

Wait what? L’chaim isn’t English and I’m not following how you support Palestine by supporting their deportation to other countries and some barren land in the desert so that Israel can come clean up the mess Israel made and then build beautiful ocean front resorts. Do you think Israel is going to build it up and let the Palestinians back in? Israel has a no right of return policy. If a Palestinian is displaced they cannot come back.

No shit

That's why it was so stupendously ironic that the Free Palestine crowd voted for all of that.

I didn’t vote for Trump .

We all know you feel satisfaction that Biden lost. Way to stick it to the man. You're so hip and cool.

To be clear, Biden didn’t lose. Kamala did. But my god this thread is a nasty little Hamas loving corner of the internet.

Emptying Gaza will mean Hamas moves to Egypt. You think you saw a migrant crisis with Libya? A US/Israel war with Egypt, a country of 100 million people, and the New York of Africa and the Middle East, would cause a huge exodus to Europe and be extremely destabilizing to the region.
