Well, either way, Israel is now getting their 2000 pound bombs to finish Palestine once and for all. It's bad. I don't see how Israel should tolerate being attacked by Palestine but the reprisal using a 2000 pound bomb to level a city block to go after one terrorist is a bit much as well. Hopefully they can find a peaceful solution to end the suffering on both sides.

Regrettably, such ordnance is necessary sometimes when the targets embed themselves among civilians and in nominally civilian infrastructure. They get no Get Out Of Jail Free card by cowering that way and, as always, it's the Palestinian civilians who suffer for their cowardice.

the problem is they voted in hamas to govern their country which is a terrorist org therefore this happened. moving forward they should pick something less violent

This didn’t happen in a vacuum. The current setup was not sustainable and as pressure builds up, conflict is inevitable.

Their pre 1/07 situation was only made vastly worse by their external expression of frustration in the form of terrorism, a constantly recurring fallback year after year. The "pressure" should have been to get rid of Hamas and vote in a government which would use foreign aid for its intended purposes, and would work to achieve situational improvements through non-violent means.

The PROBLEM actually is that you fail to differentiate between Palestinians and Hamas. So why should the non-Hamas Palestinians have to leave?

They can stay and become collateral damage. Or they can leave and live peacefully elsewhere. But there really are no "non-Hamas" Palestinians. Hamas was voted in by the general population, not only by active militants. That population voted for a government which has a core policy of trying to exterminate a neighboring country. That population could divulge the location of Hamas militants and infrastructure to aid in eliminating both. It does not. It could rise up against Hamas. It has not. It is at best passive with respect to Hamas, and at worst actively provides shelter and support, both tangible and moral, to terrorists. It's culturally ingrained at this point. The Palestinians are complicit in Hamas' obscene activities. They have hard road ahead if they wish to change course, but there's no sign they want to - they just want more foreign aid and an end to the repercussions of Hamas terrorism, without actually doing anything to stop it.

Hamas was voted into office in 2006, The median age in Gaza is 18 with over 40% under the age of 14. These are children non of whom were alive in 2006. But keep lying to yourself to justify genocide.

So what have all those youngsters been doing to bring about peace within Gaza? Pretty much nothing, it appears.

We can say the same about Israeli society. Maniacal terrorist government. Why haven't their people stopped them and brought about peace?

Israel is quite peaceful when not being attacked by external forces. It leaves its own borders only when provoked, which is more than can be said for the Palestinian terrorists. There was no military action occurring in Gaza on Oct.6.

Let's not use the term Israeli because technically the settlers are not Israeli. They are Americans or Russian Jews who live in the West Bank not mainland Israel.
Jews ironically avoid killing the actual terrorists over there. They somehow live a good life with billlions at their disposal and tunnels. Very nice.

A 2 year old or 12 year old better watch out though. Israel is a army that goes after the weak targets. They couldnt beat Hezbollah on the ground so they had to do a beeper strike on an entire city block in Beirut

So they'll be taxed for life and taxes can go to the IDF? There's a section of Palestinians who would decline dual citizenship with USA.

Some would accept it and move to the US or already have family here. Some Palestinians live in Israel as Israeli citizens just so they can fly to Jordan and see other relatives. Some Palestinians would prefer to live in the US over Hamas and some prefer Israel over Hamas.

I dont think Palestinians can be placed in one box as there are different paths even among one family. A Palestinian in Israel right now may have a family line of cousins that decided to live in Gaza. A man who emigrated to the US thirty years ago may have the rest of his family in the West Bank.

Reality check for you and this whooooooole thread. October 7, Hamas came in to kibbutzes and murdered Israeli children, and some of them made hostages.

Which is why Hamas has effectively given up and released the hostages? Because nearly 50K Gazan deaths is just a false rumor, and Gaza does not presently resemble Hiroshima and Nagasaki after August 6 and 9, 1945? Given the evidence, these childish and petulant assertions are certainly convincing.

Sorry you're upset that Hamas has become largely impotent in the face of a real army, but the rest of the world thinks that's a good thing.
