Eating healthy is hard, agree or disagree?

DP, I am not even 133, and I eat candy. Yesterday, driving back from Ocean City, I ate a whole pack of Starburst candies after eating a huge lunch. Heck, I eat pies, pastries, and chips, too.

How old are you? And how tall?

I am 53, 5'4" and around 125 lbs.

133lbs on a 5'5" frame is pretty heavy. I'm 5'5" and 100lbs. Yes, I am healthy (can deadlift 130lbs properly).

BS. My very active, multisport playing 5'4" 18 year old girl is 118 pds and wears an XXS-XS.

Yes. Junk food is everywhere: on every street corner, workplaces, convenience stores. It's counterculture to avoid it.

Processed food is made to be addictive.

I'm a decent cook because my kids can't feed themselves, but I don't enjoy cooking. I don't have time to find or learn new recipes or shop twice per week for fresh fruits and veggies.

If someone else is doing all of that for me, it would be MUCH easier. I basically need a personal chef for my family.

There are tons of healthy meal services that can make it easier for you for part of the week.

Changing habits is hard but gets easier the more you stick with it.

Healthy eating is more laborious than unhealthy eating, and often more expensive. More shopping, more cooking, more worrying about freshness, more picking.

It’s worth it though.

Eating healthy does require more prep time, I agree. It helps to have 5-7 recipes that are healthy but fast.

Hang in there. You're at the three day border, when the cravings for sugar lessen, Try to stick to berries for a while to help the carb cravings. Some fruits are very high in sugar and temporarily aren't great for your goal. Keep easy foods around like hard boiled eggs, rotisserie chicken, lunch box peppers. I promise you when food isn't so interesting, you'll be eating to get the calories and the "treats" won't be so great when your body stops tolerating the sugar, grease, etc..

It’s hard for me, I’m very short, overweight and cannot seem to gain weight even on 1300 calories, so there’s very little room for treats, carbs and American portions of food. Not so bad at home but eating out is difficult.

Sorry I cannot lose weight on 1300 calories

For me it's all stress. I was not fat pre-kids, not fat with little kids. I am fat now with teens because teen stuff stresses me out so much and I overeat to cope.
