Why did someone bump up a 5 year old thread with info that is no longer current?
Start a new thread. |
| Chesterbrook is excellent and the AAP students all stay. It is one of the few schools that is all single family homea. It almost feels like a private school. |
well that is because if we started to rezone to spread out low income and ESOL students, something that would benefit all kids, parents of kids in the high income school would lose their sh*t. Look at Arlington. Total divide in how their high school are zoned. SOL scores don't tell you how well a school it performing or how good or dedicated the teachers are. All those scores tell you is which school had a higher population of ESOL and low income kids. Take any school with low scores and switch out the student population with kids from say haycock and guess what, that school would instantly have high scores. |
Um, Colvin Run, Great Falls, Forestville... |
They don't. DC1 has several in his AAP class and we're at the center. |
Yes not all, but a significant majority do. |
Of course we hide are also good. The pp did not say Chesterbrook was the only one. |
Are you sure? |
| how about Silverbrook? |
