I broke up with her. She “thumbs upped” it?

You couldn't afford a post-it note?

I broke up with her via text to avoid an argument and drama

You took the coward's way out after 5 years "to avoid drama." And when she did not give you drama, you complain. Be honest. You wanted her to fall apart and she didn't. And that bug's you.

It's your payback for being a coward. Only a fuxxing child ends a relationship-much less a 5 YEAR one- via text. Shame on you.

Well I'm a guy OP and I think you are a coward. I had someone just text me and block and ghosted me that I dated for almost two years. She was in her 40's. It was the most cowardly and immature thing I can think of. Now she no longer exists as far as I'm concerned.

Be an adult and end things at least over the phone.

OP is a summary of most men in the DC area. Five years and a breakup text.

This might go into DCUM history with dirty dice, Larla, and red washcloths.

Are you implying men do like to be rejected? I don't understand this response.

Can you read? The poster didn't imply that.

Absolutely, that's epic. Perfect response to a texted dumping.

Brava, OP’s ex, brava.

That's a boss move. I hope she knows it's eating you up inside.

I would have responded with the middle finger emoji, and then blocking you. So good for her.

Please let her be reading this thread. As a woman, she is our new queen.

Good for her. She won.

He wanted to break up without an "argument and drama" so he did it via text. I think HE won.

If he had posted "guys breaking up by text worked try it for yourself!" you would be right. But he's pouting all over the internet that he didn't get the fight or the last word or the drama, so you're wrong.

A thumbs up is a perfect response to ending a 5 year relationship via text. I applaud her use of emoji.

Yes, I know I ended things so I shouldn’t expect anything but I’m just a little shocked. A thumbs up? Really?

Sounds good.

Unclear why either of you let that go in for five years. Weird.

NP. Lol, no. Know how I know he didn’t win? He’s still stewing over her response and posting about it on a mommy forum.
