I broke up with her. She “thumbs upped” it?

Even if she said I agree that’s fine but a thumbs up?

His pride is wounded because she agreed. That’s what a thumbs up means, OP.

You’re just mad because she won.

+1

Given OP’s ridiculous post, it’s clear who was bringing drama to the relationship.

Absolutely, that's epic. Perfect response to a texted dumping.

A man I'd been dating 4 months said he just wanted to be friends over text. I called and made sure that's he really didn't get want to date a said I didn't want to be friends. He kept texting me flirty messages and I ignored him. He then got upset that I "ghosted him".

Yes, I know I ended things so I shouldn’t expect anything but I’m just a little shocked. A thumbs up? Really?

Reading this made my day. You deserved it! Good for her!

Sorry my auto typing was incoherent. This was a 49 year old man! Super avoidant emotionally and imature. Kept talking about how he did want to get married have kids "one day". Horrible communicator. I was new to the dating scene after my divorce. I got much smarter after him.

You’re joking or trolling right? You were with someone five years and ended it by text? Sounds like it was all toxic all the time. You sound toxic. I would have thumbed up you too.

You got lucky. If someone broke up with me over text, my response would be "go f*ck yourself, loser." Thumbs up? Amateur hour.

No, no. Her thumbs up was much better than that. He wanted drama. She didn’t play along. She absolutely won.

You don't understand the elegance of holding your own hand in this context.

Getting mad would make him happy. Leaving makes you happy and -- apparently -- pisses him off. It's a chef's kiss.

This might go into DCUM history with dirty dice, Larla, and red washcloths.

Tell me about the washcloths

Such a sad misunderstanding.
OP's gf made a last ditch effort to win him back by offering to stimulate his prostate with her thumb.
