Playtime was not weird. It was a beautiful meditation on encroaching modernity and its inability to constrain the beautiful chaos of our human nature. The extended nosepicking scene in Trafik, now, that one was a bit weird. Does not hold a candle to Nothing But Trouble, tho. And to the PP who said Withnail and I, you philistine, that film wasn’t weird, it was damn well slice of life. |
