What’s your favorite celebrity? “reason.” The Ozemic (semaglutide) hold outs.

I imagine its like when you are really sick and can't eat, no apetote, etc. So you lies weight quickly.
Then you start to feel better and you get really hungry to rebound. And you get back to your pre-illness weight.
Is that a reasonable analogy?

It's only $299 monthly, and I lost the 20 lbs I wanted to lose in 2.5 months. While losing weight, I continued lifting weights and eating a high-protein diet. I tried so hard for so long to lose the weight without assistance, but after my last baby, it wouldn't budge. I've always exercised five days a week and eaten a healthy diet and taking semaglutide didn't change it.

So you lost 20 lbs but now what? You have to be on meds for your lifetime to maintain it? What happens when you go off them?

Ozempic rebound is a thing. Once you stop using it then the effects stop and your appetite slowly comes back.

That sounds like hell. But being on a drug forever is probably worse. We dont know the long term side effects.
I know. I have to be on other drugs for the rest of my life. But it is better than the alternative.

Lily Allen. Ozempic or eating disorder/illness though says she has never been healthier and attributes her weight loss to getting sober and working out.

Lily Allen is definitely smaller but not quite dangerous level, IMO. The first photo is scary, but then if you take into account some shadowing on her upper arms, it's a little bit better. She still could stand to put on some weight.

^^ to add, it's her jaw that's worriesome.

No way, her shoulders are so pointy, as is the clavicle. She looked great in the third photo.

No, it's not like that. When I was on Wegovy, I had more energy so I exercised, and I was normal people hungry, so I hate normally. I didn't crave sugar or dairy like I do now, so I probably made better food choices. That's probably the reason I had more energy, actually.

I was only on it for a month and I lost 15 lbs. I had some GI side effects when I increased the dosage, so I stopped taking it. I gained back 10 of the 15 lbs in a couple months. I've kept the last 5 off and it's been a year and a half.

Oh wow. Even for someone like pp who was just trying to lose those last 20 pounds? That can't be maintained?

It's possible to maintain it or even lose any weight you gain after stop the medication. People just find it incredibly hard to manage their appetites coming back in full force.

After paying $550/ month for 6 mos and buying all new clothes I’d sure try not to stuff my face every meal!
