This recent paper shows a recent sorting along lines of intelligence, as economic issues become less salient to cultural issues and traditional conservatism has given way to populism. Populists and cultural conservatives, who hold simplistic worldviews, tend to be less intelligent and educated.

Politics is a reflection of economic status, sub-culture values, and moral judgements. It has less to do with intelligence and more to do with in group adhesion and economic power preservation/attainment.

Only federal employees/contractors including the military, were required to get vaccinated. Anyone else had the option for testing. Stop making things up.
