Stop you sound ignorant.

Why do you think a 14-year-old was with an 18-year-old non-student with a gun?

Its so typical for people to try and find some aspect of a tragic event that Their Kid Would Never Do in order to assure themselves that such a tragedy would never befall their 'raised right' child.

The kid was hanging out in basically his own front yard. Would your kid never do that?

Why do you think innocent kids can’t get caught up if other kids decided to pull a gun at school to settle an argument. Sit down you now sound stupid!

Drug deal gone wrong?

Right? Why don't those poor kids go to Herndon HS?

Shame he was not picked up sooner. It's my understanding that there is a very large backlog of outstanding warrants in DMV area, not sure what the delay is re: US Marshalls. A lot of crime could be prevented if warrants were served quickly.

14, tragic.

You’re so right. It’s a combination of a defense mechanism and the arrogance of so many local parents.

Anonymous wrote:I don't think it is misleading. A Westfield HS student was murdered. The topic is Westfield HS b/c we are in the FCPS forum.

And what difference does it make where he was murdered? It sounds like they got home from school, and had a fight. Not really enough time to go home and get a gun, which means the student likely had the gun at school. The shooting was at 3:30, school dismissal is 3:00, they likely took the bus home so that's right around when they would be getting off the bus.

Same as yesterday's post "shooting at McNair" implying an occurrence at McNair ES when in reality it was the surrounding McNair neighborhood. Obviously these are titled this way to give the appearance of dangerous schools to show up in news and search results.

Correct but this has been brought to the moderator’s attention and nothing is done to retitle the threads. It turns the forum into click bait.

Of course he's not going to change a title that turns the forum into click bait. How do you think he makes money? From the ad revenue that is generated when someone visits a page. He should want the pages to be click bait. More views for him!

Westfield is in an odd location -not really close to a lot of dense neighborhoods--and I believe when they rezoned that area they were trying to balance out the FARMS kids percentages.

This area is the worst. My heart hurts for the family.
