Lol. The mishmash of curlicued cursive/fauxligraphy makes it very difficult to read. The name itself is so clunky. They MUST have done a lot of research and spent some real money - this is the best they could do?

Meghan is known for her calligraphy. Maybe she did the font herself without any research.

I don't think most of DCUM is going to like this. Millennials are the focus of this brand.

Of course they are, especially the ones who shop at Walmart. Also, Millennials don't cook. WTF do they need any of this? Another flop is on the horizon.

Yup

I’m pretty MM neutral (used to be more of a fan, but now watch with interest passively) and holy tiaras… that name is AWFUL. What was she thinking? They are really limited by their inability to seek counsel beyond themselves. American Riviera is fine but not trademarkable (probably). They could have done literally anything with American Riviera as the subhead/location. Either way, hoping the products are cute. I love a lifestyle brand most of the time.

I find it interesting that anyone from the Royal Family seems to suck at PR. Clearly KP is going through it and has terrible advisors. H&M seem too as well because there is no way professionals signed off on all of this. The name is way too clunky and long. The style seems like millennial clean girl aesthetic princess cosplay. What is it about being in the BRF that makes people stop heeding professional PR advice?

Tig was a shortened version of her favorite wine, Tignanello. Maybe there was a branding/legal conflict with comedienne Tig Notaro? Or maybe she doesn't want to align herself with wine/booze now that she's a mom.

Do millennials really not cook?

Depends. Some of them are dressing like Ma Ingalls and “homesteading.”

There are lots of millennials on DCUM including me. Millennials are moms now.

Megan's calligraphy is terrible (weird pointless curlicues that aren't just extensions of where a stroke would normally end), so that makes sense.

(I think Megan is fine, but I hate her calligraphy)

I’m no expert but get newsletters from the Society of Scribes for professional reasons - that is fake calligraphy. It’s cursive where you pick up the pen and move it to add strange embellishments.

More to the point, the logo itself is so gunked up with the swirly fancy stuff that it’s hard to read. Why not retain actual expertise when you have the funds?

NP. Are we talking about the writing on the Insta page? It's not calligraphy - it's a font. I could try to figure out which one if I took the time but I'm not that interested. Meghan didn't write it or freehand it and neither did anyone else. It's a computer font.

No, supposedly Meghan is known for her calligraphy skills. Doesn't seem remarkable to me.
