American Riviera Orchard and Meghan Markle

I have never heard of the American Riviera. Sounds made up. I know it’s not based on this, but really a silly name. I thought MM made it up.

American Riviera Orchard sounds like the newest line of fruit from Harry and David.

It’s an old designation but no one really uses it. There is a part of town called the Riviera and that’s really the only part called that. And no one calls it American Riviera.
It’s just pretentious all around (and I say that as someone who knows she’s from a pretentious place).
Meghan and Harry do absolutely nothing to recommend themselves to the local community but they’ll capitalize on the “charm” as much as they can. I’m not a particular MM or H hater but they are just not good neighbors.

A funny article in our local paper recently - it made me chuckle: https://www.independent.com/2024/02/23/harry-meghan-and-barry/

That's a great article! Made me chuckle and the byline/bio at the end most of all.

Millennials are 30s-early 40s.... my age. I buy housewares and jam, and I imagine millenials make up at least a plurality of DCUM.

Of course they are, especially the ones who shop at Walmart. Also, Millennials don't cook. WTF do they need any of this? Another flop is on the horizon.

Do millennials really not cook?

.... how old are you guys? It seems weird to say that women in prime mom years don't cook.

HA I grew up in Riviera Beach in Pasadena MD there is no place less like the Riviera. BUT I think it matches well with Meghan’s fake princess look. Air brushed princess logos were everywhere!

Their kids get breakfast and lunch at school and do car dinners as they go to soccer practice.

I was very happy when they first married and thought they would be real icons for the new age; very disappointed in this money grab.

Everyone figured that W&K would have a couple decades of aimless waiting after Charles became king. Now with his illness, it seems that they will become the new monarchs of the new post-Brexit UK. Fate is strange.
