Wait, what?
I do both.
Do you consider the first inconsiderate? I feel like it's the opposite, so educate me!

I do both, too. Backing into parking spaces makes leaving them SO much safer for pedestrians (i.e., pulling forward is much safer than backing out), so IMO people can wait the extra 30 seconds for someone backing in.

If it its taking you 30 seconds to back in then you have no right backing in. Same geos for only being able to back in while staring at your back up camera.

+1. Park and GTFO of the way.
Uh, you realize everyone has to back in parking lots, right? Either you back in the beginning or you back when you leave which is riskier for everyone. How about you slow the eff down and be patient. It's a parking lot, not the indy 500.

Backing into the small space that is a parking spot is harder and takes longer than backing OUT of the spot when you have the entire aisle to use.
People who back into parking spots are so incredibly self centered.

Uh, no. It's only harder if you don't know how to park. To back into a spot, I can see the whole area as I'm approaching, so it's a quick pull near the spot, turn away, flip it into reverse, and slide in. Super quick. Backing out, I have to move slowly enough to see around the giant cars parked next to me to make sure some a-hole like you isn't screaming down the aisle. It takes longer than backing in.

Now, I don't back in every single time - probably around half. It depends on the situation, sometimes backing in is better and sometimes it's not. Anyone who claims there is only one right way to park really needs to learn how to drive.

The people who back into parking spots in suburban grocery stores are the same people who don't return their carts and leave them in the parking lot.

Yes, but it shouldn't take as long as it takes a lot of people. Like the idiots who back up pull forward to get the angel right when they still had 6 feet behind them the first time. The number of incompetent drivers is mind blowing.

"If they smoke, they f**k." My older cousin told me this when I was a teenager. I think he was right.

When you back into a spot, other people have to wait for you to get out of the way. If you back out of the spot, you have to wait until traffic clears. So, by backing into a spot rather than backing out of the spot, you are making others wait rather than doing it yourself.

The people who think a teacher should be able to hang a rainbow flag in a classroom would throw a hissy fit about hanging an American flag in the classroom.

What? That's ridiculous. Who do think rainbow flag supporters are? Russians?

Rainbow flag supporters are leftist and anti-Americans. This year on the 4th of July, the Unitarian Universalist church in Arlington planted rainbow flags on the perimeter of its property. It was such a slap in the face on the 4th of July.

I am left of center, but this was obnoxious.

America is about freedom, esp. religious freedom, and the UUs can do what ever the F they want at their church. Even be obnoxious. Not that this was.

That church is not obnoxious -- it is cray, cray. But that is okay. The cray cray need a place to worship with the other cray cray.

Our UU church would have planted US and rainbow flags both.

People who think rainbow flags are anti-American are the same people who want a fundamentalist Christian autocracy.
