| Montel Williams - seemed like a really good guy. |
I went to college in Savannah and there were so many movies filmed while I was there. So many close encounters, a few I actually met, John Cusack was super nice and Kevin Spacey was a creepy as he is now known to be. |

Dr. Jack Kevorkian: Pleasant, gregarious, deep, philosophical, intense. Said he didn’t drive any more because he was afraid of hurting someone.
Elmore Leonard: quiet, cheerful, polite, patient. A real gentleman. Yasmine Bleeth: cheerful, upbeat, polite, unrecognizable. Surprisingly normal considering the brutal path her life had taken. |
| Robert Mitchum…I was an extra in War & Remembrance, and stood a few feet behind him for the 3 hours it took to film an early scene on a ship. He was completely relaxed & patient, & happily posed for photos with extras. |

This is mostly NYC so not as glamorous:
Ryan Gosling at the beginning of his post-Disney career- very polite and radiating from within. Maya Rudolph- down to earth and charming. Meeting her was like meeting a friend’s best high school friend. Ann Curry from NBC before she got screwed over by Matt Lauer- so tiny and beautiful and somehow completely unassuming. She would walk all over Rockefeller Center and get her own coffee at nearby shops and tourists never noticed her. Brian Williams- friendly to everyone and very handsome in person. Bob Iger- a true king and friendly uncle all in one. Took the time to know every little person’s name and background, and at the time I was the lowest ranked kind of assistant. Martha Stewart- volunteered at an event she was running and she was warm and charismatic and not scary like I thought she would be. Hillary Clinton- doesn’t go up to people but always acknowledges when people notice her and makes a point of greeting people on her way out of a restaurant. Way warmer and more gracious than I expected. Matthew McConaughey at an after party. Didn’t really socialize with the other celebs there and instead gathered a circle of assistants, 20-somethings, and randos to hang out with. |
I'm so happy to hear Ryan was nice. And those are the vibes I get from Matthew Mc. He seems down to earth (I mean, I never met him but that's how he comes across) |
Bob Iger grew up in Oceanside NY. Very normal middle class town of 60x100 plot house that were all around 1,400 sf. He used to call his mom every day and was a good son. Nice guy. Grounded |
A nice grounded guy who is hoping that writers and actors lose their homes rather than work to bargain with them for a living wage and health insurance? Yeah right. |
