The "FDA Food Code" is not law. Moron. Point to a law. |
For most dog owners, kids and pets are the same thing. |
That's because many dog owners are morons and aholes. |
It is not the law. |
What law are they violating? Cite it. |
| Dog owners are such narcissists - you get a pet to love and adore you. So pathetic. |
Actually, it also does not recommend prohibiting animals from these establishments. |
There's nothing wrong with getting a pet to love and adore you. What's wrong, is expecting everyone else to do the same. There are way, way too many dog owners who think everyone should cater to their dog. But your dog is no one else's problem - move it out of the way when you encounter others, train it well, and don't bring it inside places it does not belong (ie, other than the vet, pet stores, etc). |
Look at your local food code. The FDA Food Code is what local jurisdictions use to make their laws. |
You guys' bickering, is pointless. If any establishment says "service dogs only" then that is the establishment's rules and law, FDA be damned. And any business is allowed to ask any dog owner, what specific tasks that dog has been trained to perform to aid the health of it's owner. If the person refuses to answer, the person can be legally denied entry. Keep your dogs at home, selfish jerks. |
| I used to like dogs but now I don't, but really its the owners. Dogs are absolutely everywhere. I was getting lunch at a Chipotle-type place last week and the person in front of me had a leashed dog that pawed me in my work pants. Why was a dog in there, even for a few minutes. If you bring your dog to places like Pike & Rose, Mosaic, etc, then don't plan to go into restaurants with them. Gross! |
I did. Not there. Show me the rule for DC, Maryland or Virginia. |
I agree that a business can decide whether or not to allow animals. And the fact that they can decide mean that IT IS NOT THE LAW. |
Show me where the FDA Food Code recommends that animals not be allowed in grocery stores, if that is what jurisdictions use as a model. |
Report the store for breaking the law. |
