Three pet dogs in Trader Joe’s this morning

Unless you hurt a company where it hurts, they will not change.

I complained to the health department about the Westbard Giant, it seemed to work. The manager began stopping people at the doors, apologizing profusely like a baby, but stopped pets from coming into the store.

You know Montgomery County loves collecting taxes and fines, complain to them. I'm sure they will have some fine they can collect and that will get the business's attention.

Hey dimwitted brat, that's what we're trying to do except your stupid furbaby is blocking the aisle. Keep your animals at home.

Rule flauters piss me off.

I totally agree with this. I also find that it is mostly owners of small dogs that violate the rules. As if they get a different set of rules than big dogs, or a pass because they can be carried. I can only imagine the treatment I would get if I brought my big lab into a store…which I would NEVER do. A few bad dog owners ruin it for the rest of us.

Feel sorry for the shopper allergic to dogs.

They all look like their dogs too, gross

It's also illegal in VA.

We really need cities to crack down on all the negligent owners. It would be such a huge revenue boost for cities.

Mice crap all over your fruit in the warehouse/truck. You don't wash it before eating it?

I LOVE dogs, but this is not cool. Leave them home FFS. I would contact the manager and request that a sign be placed on the front door of any grocery store that DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED. Of course, there will be the dipsh*t that brings Fifi in wearing her service animal vest. But it's a start.

+1 I have had dogs all my life - 50 years - except when I was in college. I have never taken any of my dogs anywhere they weren’t allowed or were unwelcome and I don’t understand the need for other people who have dogs to do this.

No, all dog owners are not like that and I am specifically speaking for one I know very well (as well many others) and that would be myself. But you are clearly a dog "hater" and it shows, probably hate kids too, that's a you problem. With respect to the grocery store, etc. dog problem, Europe has arrived on our shores. I know so many people who come back from Europe and bring their disgusting habits with them. I have a neighbor who not only is building a greek goddess statuary in his side yard (last trip was to Greece) he also let's his dog poop everywhere but his own yard. Bonus he does not clean any of it up and when approached by his neighbors he says it's natural and no one should have to clean it up.

HAHAHAHAHAHAA well I am ACTUALLY European and in general, we are a lot less likely to let our dogs run the roost. We know they are animals and don't let them distrub us or others. Sounds like your neighbor is actually American and it proves my point that dog owners have little consideration for others. You just proved my point for me silly.

I once saw a woman at the Potomac Yard Giant with her dog RIDIING IN THE CART. Absolutely disgusting.

Same. Not to mention the shopper who is terrified of dogs. Those people exist, too. I agree that except for trained service animals no pets should be in grocery stores, period.
