+1. My kids buy school lunch. If they don’t like what’s on the menu I keep a stockpile of lunchables in the fridge that they can bring. Breakfast is frozen waffles, cereal or bagels. I don’t cook eggs on weekday mornings for kids.

Oh come on, have some empathy. I think every mom has felt guilt/pressure about something that they probably didn’t need to do at one point or another. And if you haven’t, please tell me your secrets.

Have your DH get up ten minutes earlier every day and make the kids their lunches.

I cannot let my kids eat processed lunchables - sorry but that is gross.

No one asked you. Climb back up on that high horse.

You need to lower your standards. A dual-income “daycare” family with three kids cannot and should not try to adhere to the same standards as a wealthy family with two kids and a SAHM. Just accept it and move on.

HOWEVER, do not lower your standards on food. No lunchables or frozen waffles or other junk. Stick to the healthy protein and the homemade lunch. Just make it the night before.

Did you seriously just use "daycare family" as a classist insult...

What is wrong with people on this forum.

I agree, though, that Lunchables suck.

Lunches are packed the day before, always. In fact they are packed during dinner prep. I put a chobani yogurt and some fruit inside their padded lunch bag with a freezer piece and keep it in the fridge over night and it keeps things cold til their lunchtime at school. Breakfast is cheese slices rolled up with veggie "turkey" slices and a piece of fruit. Kids love these. Almost every day. Keep it simple. We don't get creative til the weekend. I get up quite early for some me-time and light dumbbells. I am always asleep by 9:30pm at the latest.
