To answer the original questions...
Yes, BMS is still a great school. Great academics and care about developing girls both inside and outside of classroom. However, as college admissions have gotten much more competitive over the past 10 years, BMS (like all private schools) is sending fewer kids to Ivies, Duke, Stanford, NESCAC, etc. This has disappointed many parents who thought getting good grades at BMS was a ticket to the Ivy League it doesn't mean the quality of the experience has gone down, but that school are looking for a more diverse student body in terms of race, gender, socioeconomic status, public/private, etc. |
