COSA will be granted if child is 11th or 12th grade. It will take an appeal to be granted the COSA if child is 9th or 10th grade.

Maybe we wouldn't actually rent it out, but give it to my older child to live in (house still in our name).

That's an idea, actually. If my oldest lives in the house, and we're in and out all the time, it would simplify things. The neighbors would still see all of us (we've all been here since our kids were little - I highly doubt they'd tell on us anyway).

So now you are openly planning to violate Equal Housing laws as well! It is very illegal to deny housing to a family just because they have a school aged child. You’re a real nice person, huh?! Not very bright though.

Must have been the dumbest luck how that happened. I'm also very nasty, as you can see. Like criminal level, mass murder type stuff.

Apply for a COSA and appeal if needed. In my experience, MCPS loves to deny reasonable requests 1-2 times, but if you appeal beyond that you win.

If you were my friend, and you committed residency fraud, I don't think that would change my opinion of you, but it would change my opinion of you if you violated fair housing laws. Even if the potential tenant couldn't prove it, you would know, and if you told me about it, I would know.
