The Tucker Carlson videos are dropping

The team that reviewed this video consulted with Capitol Police about the footage they planned to air. They only had a few, reasonable issues.
In the end, they blurred a door entrance in the released footage.

In other words..... the footage that was aired was approved by the police charged with protecting the Capitol.

The Capitol Police have been unequivcol in not wanting all of these video files to be released, and yet McCarthy did it anyway, and not to ALL media, but to one media outlet, the one being sued in court for defmation whose depositions rise to the tough standards set by Sullivan v NY Times.

Why not release it to the public in general if you are going to do it at all?

Simple.
They didn't "release" the video as in putting it out there, They made the video available for a team to review on the Capitol grounds. They can't have teams of producers from a plethora of media outlets reviewing the video.
And, it was released to Carlson because he is one of the few people who have been calling for the release of ALL video since the beginning.

They can’t have that, that would be like, journalism.

The J6 committee didn't lie, but they were not kind in the letter to Loudermilk. He led a large tour group, when the building was closed to tours because of covid, and one of those people stormed the Capitol the next day. Loudermilk was consorting with a future insurrectionist.

Because they provide insight in to the security system of the US Capitol. There were many republicans, the decent ones left in the senate, who were opposed as well.

And, once again..... all the footage that was aired was previewed by the Capitol police before airing it. The few concerns they had were addressed.

Ya, that isn't how it has worked in this country for the past 90 years where mass media and news access is concerned, but you go on making justifications for an entertainer on a cable network having access to this, but no one else, particularly actual news stations.

And, the Jan 6 committee hired an experienced ABC producer to deliver their 'findings." Even added screams to a silent tape.

What is most comical, though, was the tape of Hawley that the Jan 6 committee bragged about. The J6 group edited out the whole video which showed that Hawley was at the tail end of a large group of people running. J6 made it appear that he was the only one.

There was plenty of awful stuff for J6 to show. They didn't need to edit it the way they did.
