Yep. My kid had all As at Deal. There are a bunch of kids that do as well. Not that difficult.

I don't especially care if current students with siblings applying conduct interviews.

Hopefully there's a policy of recusing yourself with anyone you know, and obviously if the applicant is related. Otherwise, even if you don't have a sibling in the applicant pool, you still might know someone from church, camp, soccer, the neighborhood, etc.

What does this mean? So long as your kid has a 93% average that should = a 4.0 (according to rubric). a 92% average = a 3.7 - and that was not sufficient for an interview last year (needed to be 3.73 I think?)

Given interest in the school and grade inflation, I wouldn't be surprised if cutoff is even higher than last year.

It's almost impossible to not have a 4.0 at Deal. grading had been very lenient in recent years.
You can get quarters of B+, A-, A- and A and still get an A for the class.

It’s very possible to not have a 4.0 at Deal. That’s why a lot of Deal students won’t make the cut.

Is this the only email that will go out? We have friends with a kid with very similar grades to our kid (who did get an email) but didn't get an invite.
