Actually,GDS families are not supposed to park in legal neighborhood spots either. It’s in the BZA. It’s even on page 2 of the transportation brochure. https://resources.finalsite.net/images/v1660070171/gdsorg/oxps0sek4bxauccgeysw/HopperTransportationBrochure2223.pdf |
I mean, it’s kind of expected when you live in the city that things are gonna be busy bustling and crowded. It’s just part of city life. |

I live in this area. You're an idiot. This doesn't happen and you know it. lol. |

Op- finally made it back. This thread has spiralled out of control. Our blinders are off. Sounds like if we want a school that actually cares about social justice we need to look elsewhere. |
Sounds like city living isn't your vibe. ![]() |
Where are the legal spots? |
Not being argumentative at all—where does it say that about parking in the brochure you linked to? Thx! |

I find it funny that residents of this overwhelmingly UMC and white neighborhood who chose to buy overpriced houses in a congested city area with several existing schools are up in arms about a little more traffic at one of the school’s start and end times. Give me a break. Especially when there are far more illegally stopped and parked cars of parents dropping their kids off at Janney. |
Colleges do not care about gds's agreement with the anc. Not even remotely on their mind when considering admitting a gds student. |
It’s funnier that GDS can’t adhere to the enrollment cap and GDS families can’t adhere to the transportation management plan. Why is that? |
I don’t get your confusion. It was probably the same as what happened at other private schools. More people who were offered admission enrolled than schools expected during Covid. Yields were unexpectedly up across the board. |
LOL. Janney is a free for all. Amazing that kids aren't run over every day there. Crazy. Crazy. |
