Not OP but my anxiety goes down at Costco. It’s so easy! I was in and out in 30 minutes last week. I’ve been shopping there for decades though so I know what I’m doing. I can see it being overwhelming for newbies. Weekend nights are easy, or early morning on weekends. It’s definitely a “know thyself” kind of store. Are you really the kind of person that will eat 5 pounds of baby carrots? You need to be honest with yourself. We mostly buy the luxury good but there are some things we buy in bulk because we eat a lot (black beans, yogurt, mini tomatoes). And I like buying TP only once a year.

I’m guessing you go to a better location than the other poster. The Gaithersburg location is anxiety inducing!! Seriously can’t get into the store without hearing people honking all pissed off in the parking lot.

This is the pp who wrote about the anxiety, and I was just getting ready to post the same thing about the Gaithersburg location! The anxiety there starts in the chaotic parking lot and extends into and throughout the store.

Fairfax Costco is the most chill Costco. I live in Maryland and shop there all the time. Just went there today.

WHAT is going on in MD that you think FFX is chill?! 😳

Same here. Also notice how everyone who thinks covid is not a big deal anymore? Their all kinds of sick with everything else now as well. Hmmmm. I wonder what happened to their immune system? What could it possibly be?

Ummm breathing in microbes again when before they didn't?

Seriously, Covid is not the reason for everything.

Are you prepared for the Apocalypse now?

Do you have a basement, second fridge and freezer full of stuff?

What items do you recommend we hoard for end times?

1) Beer and wine. 2) Gas. 3) The vibes at the Wheaton and Gaithersburg Costco’s are not great. In FFX, parking lot more chill. Selection/inventory better and less picked over/disorderly. Checkout lines shorter.

AMA

Why are you standing in the middle of the aisle doing an AMA while other shoppers are trying to get around you? We just want to get our stuff and pay! Why are your kids playing jungle Gym on the shelves while you do your AMA? Why did you park your cart right to block a popular item and walk away to do your AMA? Why are you moving so sloooowlY?
AAAAARRGGH!!!!

Love the Wheaton Costco! Always see my neighbors there, only 5 minutes from home. Great neighborly vibes.
