| I think its supposed to be campy and kitschy. Those films definitely cater to a particular audience and people either love them or hate them. |
| New trailer just dropped. |
| That neon bodysuit rollerblading Barbie was my fav as a kid. |
| This looks so fun! Love that they cast Will Ferrell. |
Opposite reaction, but it does look great. |
| What the heck is this supposed to be about? |
I think this could be a fun movie without the Barbie theme. |
| I was skeptical before but the new trailer makes it look great! Looks campy and fun. Love Margot robbie as Barbie. She seems perfect. |
It's written by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, and directed by Greta Gerwig - there's no one who wouldn't want to be part of this movie. It's an irresistible combination of prestige/indie and HUGE budget IP juggernaut. I can't wait to see it. I'm not generally into the IP movies but the trailer looks so fun, and given who's involved I really trust that it's going to be fantastic. |
| I’m sorry, but this looks stupid. |
Agree, how obnoxious PP. As someone with this condition, I really appreciate seeing this. And no thanks for calling it weird and adding negative energy into the world. It’s a really visible disease that really messes with people’s self confidence and mental health. |
liked all the previews and never liked Barbie. Especially how controlled the dribble of information has been, it doesn’t seem like the standard trick of giving away the joke in the tease and nothing more in the movie. This time we see her disparaged by elementary kids. Ken’s the happy go lucky side kick, Barbie’s balancing existential dread.

| So it’s about Barbie going out into the real world, and Mattel executives freaking out and trying to shove her back into Barbie world. I am definitely going to see this. |
| I think it looks wonderfully tongue in cheek. Fun. |
