Twitter removes, then reinstates Florida Surgeon General's Covid vaccine warning tweet

When government officials direct social media to censor speech, that is a direct violation of the 1st amendment.

Oh look at our magnificent legal eagles soaring high above the realm!!

Don’t forget to sue the US Gov for censoring boobs and curse words every single day on every single broadcast platform that exists while you’re at it!

This has been explained.

We live in a democracy. It's within bounds to use the regulatory process to create standards for broadcast, such as censoring boobs and curse words.

It is out of bounds to operate in secret and petition private companies to censor certain items. This is undemocratic, possibly corrupt.

They want less healthy young folks to have cardiac inflammation, and there is ample scientific evidence that the mRNA vaccines pose a risk of this. If you weren’t biased, you would review the data yourself and post a thorough analysis either refuting or confirming.

Yes— all Americans should perform their own regression analysis in sing hundrededs of thousands of data points. That will clear things right up.

It’s already being done overseas where they are willing to do proper post-mortem examinations. If you listen to Dr. Cole, a pathologist, the virus has mutated and the protein that caused clotting, etc. has been gone for about 1.5 years. When we vaccinate with a vaccine that has this spike protein as well as lipid nanoparticles, you are introducing the spike protein to the body that is no longer contained in the natural virus. So the pathologists, medical examiners, etc. and their research is focusing on deaths that are occurring after the introduction of the vaccines, especially those sudden cardiac deaths in the younger population.

Google finds many pathologists named Cole. You have a link for us?

Republican hypocrites.

No, that's not hypocrisy. There's a difference between a private school (that people send their kids to purely on a voluntary basis) mandating covid vaccines, versus a public school (which you're legally required to send your kids to, if private school or homeschool isn't an option) doing the same.

It’s hypocrisy because he comes out against Covid vaccine mandates for kids in his state, except he is knowingly sending his kids to schools WITH Covid vaccine mandates.

A private school that he, as the parent, chose.

Completely different than mandating it for a public school.

Already in this thread. Do you always comment without reading a full thread?

Why is it completely different? It’s a public health measure that he either values or doesn’t take exception to. He could lead but instead he gets his by having his kids in a safe school, and politicizing the public health measure while benefiting from it personally.

Religion on the other hand is not a public health measure. If he chose a religious school for his kids while allowing others to choose for themselves whether they want religion in their schools, I’d have no concern.

That would be horrifying. There is no good data to force 13 year old boys to get Covid shots to attend school.

I can see the Biden administration pushing for these mandates as they have been pushing court cases for the federal employee mandates.

Trying again with the Twitter embed. If it fails, click the link. Good discussion

What do you mean 'would be'? CDC has added it to their schedule, and schools will be mandating it, with some exceptions.

The flu vaccine isn’t mandated. Hopefully the Covid shot will not be either?

It already is in DC.
Is the flu shot mandated in DC?

100% unethical based on the data we have now. Not sure about the legal status of the DCPS Covid vaccine mandate. How could it possible hold up in court?

No, it's a personal choice matter.

DP

That’s not a valid criticism at all.

It’s about parents having a choice. From a public health perspective, there is no good reason to mandate the Covid shot in anyone under the age of 40. Especially now that we have solid data showing that the Covid shot does not prevent transmission of Covid.

That being the case, parents should have the right to decide whether they want to get if for their own child, based on their own child’s health status.

The government (local, state, federal) has no business mandating this particular shot. Covid vaccine mandates are completely anti-science.

It is most definitely not a public health measure. We have data to show that mandating the Covid shot did not make a difference (when compared to states that did not mandate it).

There needs to be a definable benefit in outcome in order to implement public health measures.

I agree with you except the bolded.
There should be no mandate for anyone. Even for people over 40.

Bolded is not true. That’s why you’re so confused. Provide a citation please.

Oh dear. NP here. I'm pro-mask and pro-vaccine, but you're wrong. The older shots were useful at stopping most transmission for a very short period of time. We will have to see how well the new shot does.
