But it is not rude to turn your nose up on DCUM, an anonymous forum. In fact, it's almost de rigueur. |
| Chicken Shawarma Does taste better if marinaded overnight but very easy and tasty. |
| All these people recommending roasted chicken and grilled salmon. Isn’t that what you eat almost every night? The 21st version of spaghetti. |

Just do it. It's a lot of fun, even if your guests go home and say, "Can you believe she served baked ziti??" Doesn't mean they didn't enjoy the experience. Not everything has to be perfect. Just go for it. |

New York Times chicken shawarma recipe is delicious and it can be a fun dinner to have everyone assemble on their own. I also make fine cooking four cheese lasagne from scratch along with Giada’s Caesar salad. I have kids so it needs to have broad appeals
Have also done steak and salmon, Ina Garten’s Asian grilled salmon is easy and always yummy. |
What on earth is a London broil? That sounds boring. I make a nice chole, puri, tandoori-style yogurt-marinated roasted chicken thighs, a good cachumber or raita, and jira rice. |
| I like make ahead dishes so I can relax when people come over. This Italian pot roast with Gorgonzola polenta (no stirring) is a favorite: https://www.fromachefskitchen.com/italian-pot-roast-straccato-gorgonzola-polenta/ As a guest, I’d be thrilled to be served a nice piece of fish or the host’s ethnic cuisine. |
| I’d like to try New York Times chicken shawarma. Does anyone have a good recipe for yellow rice that goes with it? |

This is my go-to dish. It is easy and looks nice. I serve it with brown and wild rice and asparagus.

Not pp but the smitten kitchen’s zucchini galette is amazing, and that’s the crust i use for all my galettes. |
JHC. You don’t know what a London Broil is and then proceed to prattle off things like jira rice? I can’t figure out if you’re being purposely dense or if you’re naturally that way? - signed, South Asian. And it’s spelled jeera rice. |
