At what age are you 100% comfortable leaving your kids to their own devices in a pool?

Or do you mean like let them swim in a backyard pool by themselves without an adult? For me, when they've gone through lifeguard training and have a buddy (so 15) or when they turn 18.

This.

If I know a lifeguard is there *and* they'll listen to the lifeguard say no roughhousing, whatever age the pool allows. Swimming on their own with nobody around, when they've passed lifeguard training (still possible to slip and fall in, but that's the best I can do). Swimming with a buddy (and knowing they won't roughhouse), as soon as the buddy passes lifeguard training. Bunch of teens who are going to play around, 18 and please don't tell me.
