They didn’t even try. Those four officers were there to keep parents out. https://nypost.com/2022/05/26/videos-show-parents-begging-cops-to-stop-texas-school-shooting/ Totally preventable by the following: A) raise the age limit to 25 for ARs |
The shooter walked into an unlocked school door, walked down a hallway, made a right, and walked into a 4th grade classroom that had doors open. No SRO was on site. |
I think that’s still unclear, but if he had been he would’ve run just like in Parkland. And just like the cops who first responded did. They ran off to get tactical gear while e little kids were being mowed down and parents, who were ready to throw down their lives in hopes of saving their children, were kept at bay. Real heros, those cops. We don’t need more security, WE NEED TO NOT LIVE IN A POLICE STATE so that the handful of wackjobs who buy the majority of these high powered weapons can have their “freedom” at the expense of the rest of us. F*** them all to hell. |
With gun control, no one policy will solve all problems but the broadly popular proposals, if enacted, would help, and if that saves some lives, that is progress. Sure it probably deters some online sales or sales at a gun show. And yes, someone determined to get a gun will probably keep trying but why do we allow it to be so easy? The second amendment surely allows some additional safety measures to be in place. After all, why bothrr having any safety standards for baby formula during this supply shortage? Because ensuring that a few babies don’t consume contaminated formula and die is still more important than alleviating the stress and anxiety of many families who are desperately going from store to store and rationing their existing supply store of formula.
To the topic of this thread, regardless of the standard the Commonwealth chooses to use, the curriculum taught in public schools is failing to educate students from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with disabilities. Even schools in schools where the student population is predominantly UMC, the achievement gap with SOL results is enormous. |
