DCPS close contact mask policy

The CDC said, by February, 75 percent of all kids (and 60 percent of adults in DC) have already had Covid. That’s despite closing schools, strict masking rules, etc.

Maybe it’s just inevitable that everyone is going to get Covid

How long is this going to go on? Do we need a Republican congress to stop the money flow for unnecessary PCR screening? There is no natural endpoint to this.

Well said.

Also the PCR test was recalled. Why is it still being used?

After the US signs the WHO treaty, it won't matter what DCPS, WTU, or DC Health has to say. Goodbye sovereignty.
This has been known since January. Voting in Geneva May 22-28.

This is ridiculous. So DCPS dropped the mask requirement but had no plan if cases went up, etc…

So typical of their short term short-sightedness.

Everyone is going to get Covid. There’s nothing anyone can do about it. If you think you’re going to avoid Covid, I have a bridge to sell you…

I cannot believe in 2022 people still think that cotton masks on elementary aged children do anything.

The bigger problem right now, at least at my school, is not that everyone is going to get covid, but that everyone has it at the same time. So far we have 10 staff out all this week.

Huh? They do have a plan. They follow the CDC guidance. The CDC only recommends universal indoor masking when an area is in "high transmission" status. DC is currently low.

I guess you now think following CDC guidance is short-sighted?
